Advice...

If you have even the slightest aspirations of future American Idol fame, please take a moment to consider the following advice: dont ever take nude photos that could be posted on the Internet someday (Antonella Barba), have a suicidal breakdown that lands you in a psych ward (Nikki McKibbin), or create and post an expletive-filled holiday rant on YouTube. For some reason, Danny Noriega thought that last one would be a great idea. He was wrong!

I first saw the now-famous video a week or two ago while aimlessly perusing YouTube (YouTube is one of my many addictions, right up there with overpriced shoes and a penchant for scandalous celebrity gossip). I thought the person in the video was a 14-yr-old punk/goth chick...I had no idea it was Danny (tho I'm not entirely surprised....). I didnt actually listen to the video til this morning, and I must admit I'm disappointed. I recently professed my love for Danny in a previous post, and now I'm considering recanting my statements (and I RARELY recant anything I say....I'm stubborn like that). But how can I have love for someone who felt the need to bash Christmas and, well, you'll have to listen to the video for yourself, cus I don't think my editor would appreciate a re-cap of Danny-boy's exact words here. They aren't exactly blog friendly.

To his credit, I would imagine (or hope, at least) that Danny has grown up a bit since the holiday tirade...but you never know. Maybe it was the product of an angst-filled teenage Christmas, or maybe he was just mad cus his favorite shade of eyeliner was discontinued. Who knows. Asking me to explain the doings of a teenager is like asking someone to make sense of why certain animals will eat their own regurgitation.....its beyond explanation. Teenagers are simply non-human, and our best bet is to attempt to put up with them until they turn 20 and finally re-join the human race. Goodluck and Godspeed.
