Canadian Idol's Top 3: Norfolk County Fair

If you're in the Simcoe area next week, you may want to check out the first post-Idol performance by our Top 3.

The Canadian Idol whirlwind is blowing winner Theo Tams into Norfolk County.

Since the show wrapped in September, Tams has been jetting from Calgary to Toronto to Halifax all in one week, while doing media interviews, sound checks, performances and compiling material for his first album.

"I'm just trying to keep my feet on the ground," Tams said in a telephone interview from his new home in Toronto.

But the jetlag and long hours in the studio haven't changed his genuine love for making music and entertaining a crowd. He's looking forward to performing at the Norfolk County Fair next week.

"To me, it's unbelievable and exciting," he said. "It's going to be a blast."

The Warchild Benefit Concert on opening day Oct. 7 will be Tams' first performance with Idol runner-ups Mitch MacDonald and Drew Wright. They'll all be reuniting with the Canadian Idol band.

"I'm so stoked," he said. "I'm most excited about reconnecting with these brilliant musicians."
