Fierce No More

So is anyone else as upset as I am that Danny "Fierce" Noriega was voted off last night?? Seriously, am I the only one? I'm not saying the kid was any sort of musical powerhouse, and part of me still thinks he would have been more at home as part of the Top 24 ladies, but still....something about Danny tickled my fancy. Maybe it was his uber-styled coif (which, BTW, was flat-ironed to perfection! Danny, if you are reading this, have your people contact my people with the exact brand of straightener you use...thanks, dahling!). Anyway....for reasons I cant quite pinpoint, I got a kick outta Danny, and I'm gonna miss his slightly-manic-yet-fabulously-fabulous self. You're still fierce, Danny. Work. It. Out.

On the flipside, I'm not at all sad to have said goobye to Luke "Yawn" Menard, or Kady "Ya'll Can Call Me Britney" Malloy. I'm maybe semi-sad to say bye to Asia'h......*pause*.....OK, no, nevermind, I decided I'm not. I just remembered that she was starting to get on my nerves...tho I cant quite remember why. I guess it doesn't matter now! (Oh, wait, I remember: part of it was the 'h in her name. The name Asia is alright, I guess, but why the superfluous apostrophe and h? Why? What moron felt the need to ruin a perfectly good name by giving it silly and unneccessary punctuation/spelling? Seriously, people, stop the name insanity!)

Next week its back to the stage to watch more unrealistically attractive contestants give mediocre performances while I sit at home waiting to be impressed. Man, I'm becoming cynical after 7 years of feverish Idol obsession....but I have my reasons. Unfortunately I also have a high fever and am starting to make coughing noises similar to those that a zombie might produce upon awakening from the dead....so the explanation of my cynicism is gonna have to wait. Ludens and Kleenex, here I come......
