Mitch MacDonald: National Post

Even the runner-up has to play the press game. The National Post interviewed Mitch. Check it out here.

An excerpt:

MacDonald did not appear in the bottom two or three once. So did it make it harder for him to place second to Theo Tams?

"I don't think so because I think if you reach [the bottom two] before, you get this big, frightened scare and there's already so much else to think about. I think reaching tonight; it was one or the other — it wasn't like the bottom three, maybe move on or maybe go home — it was just, like, one or the other. You either win or you lose.

"And I came into this with that 50/50 chance and I was prepared for both. I think it was important in the last few weeks I was like, 'okay if I get to the finale, what do I do if I come second?' Because I think it's super important to keep this ball rolling and all this exposure and all this buzz about Mitch MacDonald, I think it's super important to just do whatever I can to take a stab at this music industry and hopefully make a career out of this."
