MTV Rejects Paula Abdul's New Video!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

In news that shocks, well, no one, MTV has decided not to air Paula Abdul's new "video" for her song "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow".

I cant say I blame MTV. For those of us unfortunate enough to have been forced to sit thru the entire video on AI two weeks ago, we know how putrid the thing is. Her "moves" were recycled and unoriginal, she looked old and tired, the entire thing seemed low-budget and....sad. Just sad.

I'll put it on record here and now that I LOVED Paula in the 80's/90's. I still tool around town rocking out to "Forever Your Girl", I still know all the dance steps from her videos, I loved her. LOVED her. She was like the poor man's Janet, which is fine with me cus I'm like the poor man's, well, OK, nevermind, I AM the poor man. So its not like I have any sort of beef with Miss Paula. But that doesn't mean I cant admit when she makes poor career choices (*cough* her show on Bravo *cough*) and this video was, sadly, one of them. (I wonder if Randy Jackson is starting to regret ever deciding to hop on her comeback train??)

So, RIP "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" Video...you had a short life, but its probably for the best. She already made MTV video history with "Opposites Attract" (now THAT was a great video! I can see it now, Paula and MC Skat Kat in synchronated step, she with her fly 80s hair and he with his too-cool-for-school Zoot Suit....LOVE it!). Hopefully Paula will get the hint and stick to what she does best....drinking from covert "Coca Cola" cups while sweetly judging kids on American Idol and managing to annoy Simon with every word that comes out of her adorably indecisive self. I Heart Paula.
