Saying Goodbye to Katherine

My predictions were close, although I didn't anticipate Amberly ending up in the bottom three. But voters aren't feeling the girls this season, so I shouldn't have been surprised.

But saying goodbye to Katherine wasn't much of a shock. Her performance was weak, and she doesn't quite have the fans Sebastian does. Although he had better step it up next week....

"I feel pretty happy," said Katherine, shortly after her elimination. "I feel that I've grown a lot since the beginning of this song-wise, like I know more of what kind of artist that I am and what kind of songs I like to perform and what kind of clothes I like to wear."

Read her exit interview here. The youngest competitor in the Top 10, she missed her prom for Idol. Still, she wouldn't have it any other way. She leaves optimistic and looking forward to a future of music:

"Performing first of all and seeing people voting for you and cheering you on. I think that's really great because your province and stuff, them cheering you on is really fun and the people here, the other contestants, I made some really good friends and the crew and everyone, I'm going to miss," said Katherine.
Katherine is planning to take some time to relax and catch up on her sleep when she gets back home, and then see what happens next.

"I'd like to continue music so hopefully an opportunity comes along where I can continue that," said Katherine.

"I'd like to say thank you to everyone who's voted, I had so much fun and I know it's because of you guys that I'm here so thank you."

Only one girl remains. Ladies, we had better amp up our voting.
