Simon's New Toy

Work hard, play hard?? Simon Cowell would agree!

The tight-shirt-wearing, hard-to-please music mogul recently added another plaything to his collection of expensive toys: a Bugatti Veyron, the fastest street-legal car in the US and the certainly the priciest, cashing in at a cool $1.2 million....chump change to someone like Cowell, who's reported net worth is said to be around $100 million. (See?? It pays to be opinionated! I knew it!!)

The Veyron is simply the latest in an extensive and ever-growing car collection for the snooty AI judge. Among its siblings: a Rolls-Royce Phantom (roughly half a mil) and the new Rolls 100EX Cabriolet. Must be nice! For the better part of a decade, my list of cars included a 1965 Dodge Dart with no heat or A/C and a speedometer that worked only half the time, a 1985 Chevy pickup who's driver's side door didnt close all the way and therefore had to be held closed via bungee cord (yeah....imagine trying to impress a date while asking him to please help you hook the bungee cord behind his head.....not sexy), and a 1980's oversized brown and white Bronco with the name "Paco" stitched on the dashboard cover. Suffice to say, I cant quite comprehend being the owner of a Cowellesque car collection, but I'm assuming he has better luck on dates than I did.** Then again, he and I are about equal in the tight shirt arena, so ya never know.......

**Note: expensive cars and tight muscle shirts actually dont usually amount to a ton of hot action...in fact, they tend to scream "I'm a poser!" at very loud decibals, effectively making women run the other way, in search of quieter men who dont take longer in the bathroom to get ready than they do....sorry, Cowell!
