Tara Oram's Christmas Plans

christmas.jpg

Tara Oram has had a pretty great year. Her debut album exceeded expectations, hitting #1 on the iTunes country charts plus she starred in her own reality show "The Tara Diaries" on CMT. And before hitting the road to promote her album "Chasing the Sun," she has plenty of holiday music plans for us to enjoy.

Tara is planning a tour next spring but in the meantime you can hear her version of "Blue Christmas" on "Christmas on the Open Road," a compilation CD featuring artists such as Jason McCoy and Taylor Swift.

And while she's crossing her fingers there will be a second season of "The Tara Diaries," she will also be appearing in her own holiday special on CMT called "Tara Oram's Christmas Carol" on Dec. 11th featuring Doc Walker, The Higgins and fellow Canadian Idol alum Jaydee Bixby.

"I was like, 'My own Christmas special? Are you sure? I'm not even famous. Are you really sure about that?'" says Tara of her reaction when CMT approached her. "So I was like, 'Absolutely!'"

She also plans to celebrate Christmas at home in Newfoundland.

"I cannot wait for Christmas this year and having a 'Christmas Carol' is just icing on the cake."

Check out her new official Website here, be sure to tune into CMT on the 11th, and stay tuned for future tour dates!
